Historian to deliver biographical presentation at schoolhouse

The Dartmouth Historical and Arts Society presents historian Richard Gifford who will be making a special presentation on the life of Daniel Wilcox, who lived from 1633 to 1702. 

The presentation will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 21 at the Russells Mills Schoolhouse. Light refreshments will be served and attendees are encouraged to make at least a $5 donation. 

As the subject of the presentation, Wilcox is notable historical figure for his having married the daughter of a Mayflower passenger, serving as a translator during the King Philip’s War, and later fleeing Massachusetts Bay Colony after the governor charged him with sedition.
