Dartmouth Carnival

The Dartmouth Mall Carnival is back this year and will run from Thursday, May 2 to Sunday, May 12. On Thursdays and Fridays, it will operate from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on weekends from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. The carnival will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Friday, May 3

Figures Exhibit Reception

The Dartmouth Cultural Center invites the community to its Figures Exhibit opening reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 404 Elm Street. This exhibit features 13 artists from around the South Coast and will be on display until Saturday, June 1.

Saturday, May 4

Hazardous Waste Day

The Greater New Bedford Regional Refuse Management District will host Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Day on Saturday, May 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Crapo Hill Landfill, 300 Samuel Barnet Boulevard, New Bedford. Proof of residency in New Bedford, Dartmouth, or Freetown is required.
Sign up to participate at gnbrrmdistrict.org and select a time slot. Visitors should arrive as close to their selected time slot as possible. If visitors do not have internet access, call 508-979-1493 to sign up.

Walk for Hunger

The Dartmouth YMCA is set to host its fifth annual Walk for Hunger in collaboration with Project Bread, a Massachusetts food security organization.
Registration is still open for those interested in joining the three-mile walk on Sunday, May 5. The walk will begin at Apponagansett Park at 9 a.m. and will travel over the Padanaram bridge, passing through the village neighborhood.
