Project Title: Dias Landing Fixed Pier Extension & Floating Docks
Location: 75 Gulf Road, Dartmouth, MA 02748

Sealed Bids shall be received until APRIL 26, 2024, at 12:00 PM (local time), at the Office of the Town Administrator (see address above). The Bid Opening will be held in Room 301, of the Town Hall, at which time, Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Invitation for Bid documents are available electronically by contacting Beth Schuh (Foth) at: beth.schuh@foth.com with the subject: “Dias Landing Fixed Pier Extension & Floating Docks: IFB Request” on or after APRIL 10, 2024.

A non-mandatory Pre-bid Conference/Site Inspection will be held at the project site at 75 Gulf Road, Dartmouth on APRIL 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM

The project generally consists of demolition and reconstruction of the existing timber pier superstructure, a pile-supported timber pier extension, installation of floating docks and gangways, and miscellaneous site work.

The estimated project cost is $950,000.

Liquidated damages of $500.00 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the Contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the Contract provisions).

This Contract includes proposed participation goals of 4.2% of the Bid price for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises and 8.8% of the Bid price for Minority-Women-Owned Business Enterprises.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid deposit, in the form of a Bid Bond, cash, certified check, or a treasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Dartmouth in the amount of 5% of the Bid.

Bids are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Ch. 30, Sect. 39F, G, H and M inclusive. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Ch. 149, sections 26 to 27D inclusive. The Town of Dartmouth reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all Bids if it be in the public interest to do so.
