Be advised that a Public Hearing will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 9:30 A.M. in Room 213 at 400 Slocum Road, Dartmouth, MA for the purpose of setting the minimum residential factor on tax rates for Fire Districts 1, 2, & 3 in Dartmouth pursuant to M.G.L Chapter 40 Section 56. This will be a joint meeting of the District Prudential Committees and the Dartmouth Board of Assessors.

Notice is hereby given that the application has been received from Pickleball & More Corp., d/b/a Pickleball & More for a Year-Round Restaurant/ All Alcohol License under the provisions of M.G.L. Ch.138 at 718 Dartmouth Street. The Manager will be Donat Aubuchon. The licensed premises will consist of 30,000 square feet in which Pickleball & More Corp. will operate an athletic facility with the primary focus on pickleball. The building is one story with the business occupying the first floor. Pickleball and More is an open space with 9 pickleball courts, a lounge area, a front desk, merchandise area, and 3 bathrooms that have public access. There are 2 storage areas and an office with no public access. There are 3 televisions in the lounge area. There are storage areas that do not have public access. There is no kitchen on the premises. Those interested in providing comments both oral and/or written may do so by attending this hearing to be held on November 27, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in room 304 of the Town Hall, 400 Slocum Rd, Dartmouth.

Notice of License Application Pursuant to M. G. L. Chapter 91 Waterways License Application Number 23-WW01-0119-APP
153 Gulf Road LLC,
Craig and Ana Weatherley

NOTIFICATION DATE: November 2, 2023

Public notice is hereby given of the waterways application by 153 Gulf Road LLC, Craig and Ana Weatherley to construct and maintain a pier, ramp and float and maintain a stone groin and rip rap at 153 Gulf Road, in the municipality of Dartmouth, in and over flowed tidelands of Apponagansett Bay. The proposed project has been determined to be water-dependent.

The Department will consider all written comments on this Waterways application received within 30 days subsequent to the “Notification Date”. Failure of any aggrieved person or group of ten citizens or more, with at least five of the 10 residents residing in the municipality(s) in which the license or permitted activity is located, to submit written comments to the Waterways Regulation Program by the Public Comments Deadline will result in the waiver of any right to an adjudicatory hearing in accordance with 310 CMR 9.13(4)(c).

TAX RATE SETTING HEARING

A Public Hearing will be held on November 27, 2023, at 6:32 p.m. in Room 304 at the Town Hall, 400 Slocum Road, Dartmouth with the Select Board and the Board of Assessors for the purpose of determining the percentages of the tax levy to be borne by each class of real and personal property for FY 2024 for the Town of Dartmouth as required by M.G.L. Chapter 40, Section 56 as amended. This public hearing will be held relative to a report from the Board of Assessors on the method of taxation. Public comment, both oral and written is welcome at this hearing on the method of tax classification.

In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Ch. 44B section 5(b)1, the Community Preservation Act, notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held for the Community Preservation Committee Needs Assessment and Plan for Fiscal Year 2024. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., in Room 315 of the Dartmouth Town Hall, 400 Slocum Road, Dartmouth, MA. All interested parties should be present at that time.
