Two vehicles collide, crash into homes

A collision between two vehicles at the intersection of Sharp Street and Alpha Street left both drivers with apparent minor injuries and two homes with damage, according to Police Chief Brian Levesque.

At 3:10 p.m. a crash was reported in which a Subaru, operated by a 59-year-old Dartmouth woman, struck a Toyota pickup operated by an 89-year-old Dartmouth man, according to Levesque. The truck was going through the intersection as the collision occurred, causing it to drive through a fence before striking a home twice and an unoccupied vehicle parked in the driveway before coming to a rest.

The Subaru went on to strike a separate house and both drivers were transported by ambulance, according to Levesque.

Levesque said the crash is still under investigation, but it appears the truck is at fault for failing to stop at a stop sign.
