At around 11 a.m., police responded to the area of Connecticut Avenue after a resident of that street reported someone had broken into their home, which was occupied at the time. While on route to the call, an officer observed an individual running away from the area.

The individual matched the description of the alleged suspect, and he was taken into custody. He was identified as 31-year-old Ryan Boyer of Acushnet.
