Dartmouth Police arrest alleged shoplifter

A Fall River man, alleged to be a serial shoplifter by Dartmouth Police, was arrested on April 22 for shoplifting at Walmart.

According to police, officers arrived at the Dartmouth Walmart around 1 p.m. to find two men putting stolen goods into a car parked near a fire exit at the rear of the building.

Upon further investigation, it was determined one of the men, alleged to be Jason Ferreira, 33, was known to have shoplifted before.

Ferreira was arrested and charges with larceny over $250 and conspiracy to commit a crime- to wit larceny over $250.

It was also discovered Ferreira had three active arrest warrants, with two of the three related to retail shoplifting.
