Lesson on bread making

The Boivin Center for French Language and Culture at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth will be hosting the program “The Art of Bread Baking” on April 27 from 4:30 p.m.

Baker and Switzerland native Ciril Hitz will teach participants how to shape breads and make French macarons at The Café. Guests will also be given samples. Hitz is an award-winning instructor at the International Baking and Pastry Institute at Johnson and Wales University. He has been featured on “The Today Show,” “The Food Network” and “Ciao italia.”

The event cost $20 and reservations must be made. There will be a cash bar and parking will be available in Lot 4. People can contact Maria Sanguinetti at msanguinetti.edu or at 508.991.5096.
