There was some serious flower power at the Town Select Board's December 18 meeting.

In an unanimous vote, the Select Board approved the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust's (DNRT) request for temporary street parking outside Parsons Reserve, located at 50 Horseneck Road, during the blooming busy spring.

Parking would be limited to a roadbed near the reserve along Horseneck Road.

DNRT's Parsons Reserve, a sprawling 32-acre daffodil wonderland, attracts flocks of visitors - and vehicles - every year. Except while there are thousands of flowers in sight, searching for a parking spot is like finding a needle in a daffodil stack.

The vote allows street parking outside Parsons Reserve from April 1 - May 15, 2018.
