The Dartmouth Police honored Jace, 7, on its Facebook page Sunday night after the boy ran for help in an emergency at the Dartmouth Mall.

According to the post, Jace's grandfather suffered a life-threatening medical emergency while sitting in the parking lot. Jace quickly ran into the mall and notified security, who in turn called 9-1-1.

"Because of Jace's quick thinking, his grandfather received the appropriate medical attention that he needed, and is doing much better," police said.
