June A. (Ostrander) Crowley, 86, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Hathaway Manor Nursing and Retirement Home after a period of declining health.
Born in New Bedford to the late Floyd and Myrtle (Card) Ostrander, she later settled in Dartmouth for the better part of her life.
At age 38, as a single mother, she returned to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. With two children to care for, she graduated and bought and furnished a home for them. She found her specialty in dialysis nursing, in which she cared for many patients over the years.
June adored animals and loved caring for her yard, which she painstakingly nurtured.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy S. Crowley, and Sue Hauck and her husband Chuck; her brother, Arthur Ostrander; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert and Donald Ostrander, and Beverly Souza.
