Easter Bunny hops over to Dartmouth Mall for National Reading Month

Mar 9, 2024

Not only is Easter just around the corner, but March is also National Reading Month.

To celebrate the magic and power of reading, the Dartmouth Mall has opened a children’s reading nook that will be available through the end of March.

The children’s reading nook is located just next to the garden set where families can get their pictures with the Easter Bunny. Families can bring books to read or choose from the nook’s selection.

They’re welcome to take a book so long as they leave one in its place. At the end of the month, the books will be donated to the non-profit United Way of Greater New Bedford.

To kick off the new reading nook, the Easter Bunny and his entourage of beloved cartoon characters made their debut at the Dartmouth Mall’s Bunny Book Bash on Saturday, March 9.

DJ Gazelle, Chris Arsenault, spun some beats while Curious George, Disney Princess Belle and Bluey, everyone’s favorite Australian Blue Heeler, posed for some pictures.

The reading nook and the Easter Bunny will be available this month during the Dartmouth Mall’s regular hours.
