Geraldine (Almeida) Madeira, 79, of Dartmouth died peacefully, Friday, April 12, 2024 at The Residence at Cedar Dell. She was the wife of the late John L. Madeira, with whom she shared many loving years of marriage.

 

Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late John and Evangeline (Botelho) Almeida, she lived in Freetown and Naples, FL for many years before moving to Massachusetts.

 

Geraldine enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her two children, Sheryl McCarthy and her husband Michael, and John A. Madeira; her former daughter-in-law, Jodie McClain; four grandchildren, Daniel McCarthy and his wife Carla, Olivia Madeira, Dennis McCarthy, and Ethan Madeira; and her great-grandson, Ezekiel McCarthy.

 

She was predeceased by her three siblings, Arthur and Joseph Almeida and Bernice (Almeida) Perry.

 

Her Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, 125 Main Street, Acushnet, with everyone invited to meet directly at Church. Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery. For online guestbook, visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
