INVITATION FOR BID

The Town of Dartmouth, Department of Public Works is soliciting bids for:

1. Traffic Signs & Associated Materials
2. Tree Work
3. Catch Basin Cleaning
4. Manholes, Catch Basins, Concrete Blocks,
Bricks & Cement
5. Catch Basin, Manholes Precast Complete
6. Plain & Reinforced Concrete Storm Drainpipe
7. PVC Storm Drainpipe

Sealed bids will be received by the Department of Public Works, 759 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA, 02748, during business hours, until the date and time of the bid opening.

BID OPENING
Bids will be opened May 15, 2024, at
10:30 A.M. Prevailing Time

Contract Documents, including the Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Specifications, and other Contract Documents, may be obtained and/or examined on or after April 29, 2024 at the Department of Public Works, 759 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA, 02748 Monday - Friday – 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Bid documents are also available electronically, please contact Rosa Tavares at rtavares@town.dartmouth.ma.us.

Attention is called to the fact that supplies furnished as part of this Contract are exempt from the Sales and Use Tax. All bids submitted should take this factor into consideration and be calculated accordingly.

The contract will be awarded within thirty (30) days after the bid opening. The time for the award may be extended by mutual agreement between the Town and the awarded bidder.

No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of thirty (30) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after the actual date of the opening thereof.

The Bidder must furnish a Non-Collusion Form and Statement of Taxes, with their bid.

Proposals must include ALL DOCUMENTS required by the Invitation for Bid. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality, reject any or all proposals, or accept other than the lowest priced proposal.

In conformity with the requirements of Section 22 of Ch. 166 of the General Laws (Ter.Ed.), you are hereby notified that a Public Hearing will be held at the meeting of the Select Board of the Town of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, on May 6, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in room 304, Town Hall, upon the petition of Eversource Energy to install 1 new JO pole along Evelyn Street, Dartmouth. These proposed locations are necessary to bring much needed capacity into South Dartmouth.
